The Future of Global Health Security

Co-hosted by The Center for Global Health and Diplomacy (GHD), the Graduate Institute of Geneva and the U.S. National Academy of Medicine, this discussion brings together health ministers, nonprofit executives, and other global health experts to highlight the steady progress and ongoing challenges of post-Ebola recovery. By focusing on recent efforts at the country, regional, and global levels, Making It Work-Strengthening Global Health Security After Ebola underscores the importance of engaging non-state actors, particularly the private sector, in collaborative dialogue and holistic response. A ministerial roundtable, Advancing the Global Health Security Agenda, follows our discussion to offer an expanded look at global health security. Ministers and business leaders share personal experiences, lessons learned, and key recommendations for building country-level capacity and resilient health systems. Taken together, the above discussions serve to illuminate the potential avenues and ongoing priorities for making smart and sustainable investments in global health.
